I am a student-athlete and competitive basketball player from Mumbai.
Basketball is a big part of my life, but it has also made me curious about everything that happens beyond the court:
how teams are built, how sports businesses grow, and how sport can create opportunities for communities.

Basketball has taken me from school and city competitions to representing Maharashtra in both the School Games Federation of India & the Basketball Federation of India National Championships.Â

​This is where I look at teams, brands, sponsorships, media, marketing and how basketball becomes a business.
This is where I try to understand the numbers behind basketball. Things like team values, player salaries, revenue, investment and why some parts of the sport grow faster than others.
Here I write about things like technology, media, leadership and culture that can change how the game is played and experienced.
Basketball has opened up a whole set of questions for me beyond playing the game itself.
The more I’ve competed, travelled and followed the sport, the more interested I’ve become in understanding the business, financial and economic forces that shape it. This is where I look at those questions more closely.Â
Projects & Impact
Creating More Ways to Play
Travelling to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India for state and national basketball competitions gave me a very different view of the sport.
These were high-level tournaments, yet in many places we saw limited access to both infrastructure and quality coaching.
That experience made me think beyond my own training and competition, and about what could help more young players access better opportunities.
I’m now exploring ways for student-athletes to share their skills and for schools to build more structured sports programmes.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
Off the Court
When I have some downtime, I’m usually gaming, listening to music or hanging out with friends. I’ll play pretty much anything competitive, but FIFA and the NBA 2K series are definitely favourites.
Music is a big part of my day too. I have a playlist for almost everything - studying, chilling, pre-game, post-game and probably a few situations that don’t actually need their own playlist.
And much to my mother’s annoyance, my creativity does not extend to drawing. I have absolutely no artistic talent.
